Buy a Book and Give to the United Way!
If you purchase Raymond Alvarez’s Greetings from Fairmont: A Century of the City’s Postcard, you will also be giving to the United Way! The book is being sold by Mary Reed at Hairport, which is located at 309 10th Street in Fairmont. You can contact her at 366-1700. Alvarez’s book is a paperback, has 64 pages and is a collection of postcards dating from 1904-1960. He has researched the information about the postcards, as well as included a history of the beginning of postcards.
